Narmada Parikrama is a sacred pilgrimage that involves circumambulating the entire course of the Narmada River, one of India’s holiest rivers. Spanning nearly 3,500 kilometers, this spiritual journey traditionally begins at Amarkantak, the river’s origin, and follows its banks through Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, before returning to the starting point.Pilgrims undertake this path—often barefoot—as an act of devotion, self-discovery, and surrender. The route winds through forests, ghats, temples, and ancient towns, offering a deeply immersive experience into nature, culture, and faith. It’s believed that walking the Parikrama with sincerity can lead to spiritual purification and liberation (moksha)
