Why are markets so quiet? Once again we're waiting on another version of Kabuki Theater.The Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will be testifying in front of two different congressional committees over the next two days.Are market participants expecting a revelation from the testimony. No, but it's an excuse to wait for an excuse to move the market in one direction or another.We did have some divergences throughout the market today, but things were so quiet that we're simply going to have to wait along with everyone else for clear direction and some volume to show up again.Right now there's a lack of conviction buying or selling.
