Welcome back. Next podcast from Jasio, he is a DJ/producer based in New York City with a passion for minimal house and a love for deep house. He was born in the music capital Vienna but discovered electronic music in the early 90’s in Toronto, listening to house on radio shows like Hard Drive and grooving to trance at raves from Montreal to Detroit. At 18, he started spinning progressive house at various afterhours clubs in Toronto, including Spin Kat, Brooklyn, and Magic. Around 2000, he shifted his style to deep house with influences from Booka Shade, Charles Webster, and Miguel Migs.
Since 2006, Jan has been experimenting with the deeper sounds of electronic music--Gui Boratto, Ricardo Villalobos, and John Tejada can often be heard from his turntables. He has released four EPs and is currently working on capturing the deeper sider of electronica. Enjoy MuN #018!!!
