Listen "Learning from mistakes"
Episode Synopsis
(3 bar) extracts from an Almain dance movement for harpsichord written by the 17th C English composer Albertus Bryne and which survives in four manuscript sources. Terence Charlston plays from two of the sources to show the performance differences caused by a slight variation in the notation of musical ornaments in the two sources.
