According to data, India's handicraft export size has shrunk with a Y-o-Y decline of 20% in the Financial year 2022-23. With the surplus fancy mass produced decor items that bag a cheaper price than the precisely crafted handmade goods, artists have been losing their share of the market, despite their craft having its own raw, unique and authentic appeal.
