Episode Synopsis "MWM Episode 3: Love From Gramma's Kitchen"
In this episode, Jim sits down to talk to Gramma Nelson, known to her friends and family as Nippa. Fresh off of her 90th birthday, a collection of handwritten recipes cycled through her kitchen between 1951 and 1997 were compiled into a cookbook and given to her grandchildren as a wonderful gift. This cookbook is titled "Love From Gramma's Kitchen". Join us as Gramma Nelson paints pictures of the kitchens on her childhood and what it was like to keep a family fed in the mid 1900's. From learning recipes passed down from family and friends to the first microwaves and fast food restaurants, come with as we discuss and explore how the food we prepare for the ones we love are woven into the fabric of where we come from. If anyone is interested in a digital copy of the recipes compiled, please comment or send a message and we'd be happy to share! Special thanks goes to Jordan Trubakoff of HeavyGlo for our theme song. He just launched his first solo album so pretty please go check it out! It can be found on Spotify at: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5FiXL...
