There is lots of help from debt charities, who are doing a marvellous job, but you have to be careful as there are vampire advisers, who pop up on your browser and they are out to add to your debt. Or at least to charge you lots for help that can be got for free. Stepchange.org, Turn2Us.org.uk, Christians Against Poverty capuk,org and Citizens Advice all have lots of useful information on their websites so that people can start to prepare for getting their finances sorted out before they make the first contact. Mortgage lenders have more latitude to help borrowers.Everyone can get help.
