So often we worry about what it means for our children when we seperate our families and what impact it has on our children.In this episode we are joined by Cain Dover (Jess's brother) who has been a pillar of support for Jess throughout her journey as a solo parent. Both Jess and Cain were raised by their mum- who was also a single mum.Cain shares what memories he has of the separation and the relief he felt when they did seperate. He also shares about what he has had to navigate in his own personal healing journey, working through the emotional challenges that came without having a present and loving father.Cain shares his memories of what he learn't from his mum, how resilient she was and the amazing ways in which she showed up for him. He also shares the ways in which not having a present father impacted him in his own self belief and how he went searching for validation in his relationships later in life.
