Adam Lemp began selling beer in St. Louis in 1840. Upon his death, his son William tookover in 1862, and made Lemp Beer a household name. But fortunes changed when his favoriteson and main heir, Frederick, died of illness. That started the Lemp downfall, with four moresuicides in the family, several deaths from cancer, and the Lemp Brewery failing duringprohibition.But the family mansion remains, as does many of the family spirits. Dr. Mark Farley, ourguest on Most Haunted for Friday, February 11th, is the founder of the St. Louis ParanormalResearch Society.
