The city of Wamego, Ks., is extremely haunted. The Columbia Theater was brought in fromthe Chicago Worlds Fair, art work and all. The man who did it kept his own pair of psychics,who were sisters, to advise him on all matters. Down the street, a museum dedicated to the Wizard of Oz has many original pieces from the allegedly cursed movie, including the spirits that hang around it. A beauty parlor, an old opera house, and and a restaurant nearby are also haunted. Claudia McAlister is a volunteer serving on the performing committee for the Columbian Theater, is on the committee for the Oztoberfest put on by the Oz Museum, and runs Boos and Brews, which is several weekends a year where people can do a ghost hunt within the several haunted places in Wamego.I was invited in originally by Brenda Mason with Kansas Paranormal Research Society.Since then, I have returned to help with Boos and Brews with my friend Jason Roberts with Roadtrip Paranormal.
