We had a lovely opportunity on Monday evening to step inside the church tower at St Lawrence in Alton. The bell ringers gave us a tour of the bells and a number of demonstrations. We learnt about the history and the techniques employed by the ringers.
The mathematical side of it when written on paper looks fascinating, almost like patterns in woven cloth.
