Motivation can be a fickle beast, and we all hate the sugar high like spike and fall we get from motivational talks, gurus, and strategies. You probably ask yourself often, how can I maintain a healthy level of motivation that is sustainable and congruent with who I am? Are you intrinsically motivated? Or do you struggle to maintain a certain level of discipline?In this episode, I provide you with my thoughts on what healthy motivation is, how you may find clarity in this topic, and how you can maintain “motivational endurance” in your practice and life. I discuss what I am currently doing to get to the root of my motivations instead of just layering on motivation to a faulty thinking process.
