Mission Unstoppable host Frankie Picasso welcomes guest Cornelia Kennedy Suskind, Mother to Owen Suskind who shares her life and experiences raising both her sons, Walter and Owen, the latter who was diagnosed with Regressive Autism.The Suskind family are all featured in the award winning documentary, Life Animated, a film directed by Award Winning Director Roger Ross Williams.The film is a coming of age story about a young man ( Owen) who lost his ability to speak as a child and retreated into his own world populated by Disney characters. Eventually his family discovered a unique way to communicate with their son by immersing themselves in the world of classic Disney Films.The film is based on the book, “Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes and Autism” written by Owen's father, Pulitzer Prize winner Ron Suskind and his wife Cornelia. This delightful, heartwarming and encouraging story,follows Owen as he graduates to adulthood and takes his first steps toward independence.
