📢 Kingdom Pt 16 – Lessons in Applied Theology (Part 2) 📖✝️ Last Sunday at MBC Stoke, we concluded our journey through the Beatitudes—eight steps of spiritual growth that lead to true, lasting happiness in Christ. Jesus moved us from loving God to loving others, showing that theology is never meant to stay in the classroom—it's meant to be lived out. 🔹 The Blessing of Mercy – "Blessed are the merciful…" – True mercy reflects God's mercy toward us and flows naturally from a Spirit-filled life. 🔹 The Blessing of Spirituality – "Blessed are the pure in heart…" – Purity isn't perfection, but a life cleansed and centred on God, keeping short accounts with Him. 🔹 The Blessing of Witnessing – "Blessed are the peacemakers…" – We carry the Gospel of peace, bringing reconciliation between God and man. 🔹 The Blessing of Persecution – "Blessed are they which are persecuted…" – Following Jesus will cost, but the reward is eternal, and joy is possible even in trials. 💡 From orthodoxy (loving God), to orthopraxy (loving others), all anchored in orthopathy (loving with the right heart)—Jesus calls us to apply our theology. 📖 "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God… and… thy neighbour as thyself." – Matthew 22:37–39 Let's not just learn the truth—let's live it. That's how we grow, honour God, and lead others to Christ.
