Listen "Remember the Lord "
Episode Synopsis
Moses encourages God’s people not to forget the Lord’s redemption:
“then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.”
— Deuteronomy 6:12
Just like the Israelites, we must remember the Lord Jesus and His mercy when He heard our cry and forgave our sins—lest we forget the beauty of our Salvation: remembering that we were saved from sins bondage that made us hostages to our past.
We must remember that our salvation was for the purpose for which we were created—lest we forget that we have a divine reason for being here.
We are often counseled to forget our past so we can move forward and that is very true—however, we must remember what we were delivered from—lest we forget the power of our deliverance.
We must remember what God has done on our behalf lest we forget His goodness, mercy and unconditional love.
We must remember that we—fatally flawed mortal creatures were given the ability to serve God and become one with Him, through the power of Christ’s redemption.
We must remember this miracle of our redemption—lest we forget what Christ’s death purchased for us!
We must remember the state in which Jesus found us—lest we forget that we were broken and now are repaired and made like new. Take a listen
