Episode Synopsis
This Netflix documentary was about the discovery of the slave ship ‘Clotilda.’ It is said to be the last known slave ship to bring enslaved individuals from Africa to the US. It carried 110 Africans, and the documentary also highlights the stories of the descendants of these individuals. These Africans were enslaved for 5 years and eventually owned land and built a community in Alabama. In this episode, we discuss our thoughts on the history, the descendants, and new information that has come out since the documentary aired.
