I have seen this trend in my generation and if I am being completely honest, it’s a result of two people who were not clear on their foundations, boundaries and intentions and were led by desire without direction and wisdom. Not just any “wisdom,” but godly wisdom. The Lord more than anyone else, wants each of us to thrive in dating and in marriage. However, He knows without Him being our foundation, without His word being our guide, the beginning of our pursuit will lead to failure, disappointment, loss and heartbreak before there was ANY trace of it in the natural.
