Baba Ram Das and Angeli are chanting "Radhe" at Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg, Germany.
Radha is the most important of the gopis, the cowherds who felt deep love for Krishna. Radha's love represents the devotee's (bhakta) passionate love for God.
In this form of bhakti the devotee wants only God and God alone. Just as a new lover has only thoughts of the beloved, so a devotee with madhurya bhava (passionate love of God) has only thoughts of God. He wants to feel God's presence and feels every minute of separation as great suffering - and the feeling of God's presence as infinite happiness. Mantra/ kirtan chanting is a wonderful practice to open the heart and to feel divine presence.
