During the first segment of this two-part episode, we discuss the team of creative geniuses behind it's development, the inspiration taken from the Winchester Mystery Mansion and the initial story lines developed to create this otherworldly attraction. A highly anticipated attraction, with advertising for happy haunt recruitment, Haunted Mansion opened first in Disneyland in 1969 and was an instant success.
