Listen "110 - What the Luddites Can Teach Us About Artificial Intelligence"
Episode Synopsis
This week we're discussing technology, A.I. and considering how the Luddites are perhaps more relevant today than ever before. Weren't the Luddites against technology and progress? In his new book, Blood in the Machine, they weren’t against technological advancement, but were against the way it was being used to undermine the skilled workers, depress their wages and churn out high volumes of low quality goods. They believed it was possible that technology could help skilled workers, not displace them with the impersonal, mass produced, low quality, and cheap.
