Episode Synopsis
What a set list tonight! I set out to compile my favorite early Classic Rock Songs. Well, after 4 hours, I didn't run out of music, but I did run out of time!
Starting with Polk Salad Anne, Susan Tedeschi with a great Bob Song, a lot of Elton with emphasis on Tumble Weed Connection, which is my favorite. Tull tunes sprinkled during the set, some excellent David Crosby cuts, of course, my favorite Greg Lake songs, several long cuts off Kenny Logins and Jim Messina’s masterpiece, some Ozzy tunes, I had to include some Cat Stevens, Bowie, Dicky Betts, David Castro, Joe Walsh, Bob Seger, and Don Henley’s voice to the equation. Then, what would a favorites list be without Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Trower, and Van Morrison?
Truly, a night of fantastic music to remember from your youth!
Magic Mushroom Hour is a mission. Music from the 60's & 70's encompassed the Golden Age of Progressive Rock! Better focus, production, and artistry. Help keep it alive for all! Not saying that there are no good musicians outside this time period, but the proof is in the pudding. Let’s get it on the airwaves.
