Listen "59: Lunch with Leon episode 59 - Rees Jeffreys Road Fund awards"
Episode Synopsis
In the 59th episode of Lunch with Leon, Leon takes us to the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund awards ceremony - founded in the name of Rees Jeffreys who was both a great cyclist and an integral part of the Road Improvements Council.
The Road Fund was established by Jeffreys (1871 – 1954), and now the charity offers financial support to education and project support - and to mark the 150 years since Jeffreys’ birth, the trustees decided to host a competition. This competition is the culmination of the charity’s work, inviting schools, universities, agencies, and other organisations to create and deliver innovative ideas to benefit the future.
In this episode, Leon takes us to the centre of the awards ceremony as the charity asks organisations to come up with ways of making our roads and highways better for everyone over the next 50 years.
