The Love Sweetie Podcast is a unique historical project that features real letters from Kathryn Frances Demaree Graham a.k.a. "Sweetie" that were written during her lifetime.  These authentic letters are narrated and commented on by the hosts of the show (who give context on what is being discussed).  This episode features three family letters from February and March 1950.  We learn from the first letter that Sweetie is determined to stay home that summer and not go to Lacona, Iowa to visit her family for a variety of reasons.  She then writes a more extensive letter addressing a variety of different subjects, most notably what programs their family are watching on their new television set.In this episode, we also discuss a painting that was done by Sweetie's father, Chester Demaree, M.D., most likely in the 1930's, of the Grand Canyon.  It is a family heirloom, and a picture of this painting appears in this episode and can be viewed in the photo albums on the podcast website.For more information, please go to www.lovesweetiepodcast.com.
