Today, we have our first ever guest at the Love and Science podcast, Dr. Dana Gibbs! We discuss the nuances of thyroid disease and treatment, especially as pertains to infertility and recurrent loss.  Join us as she brings clarity and hope with her detailed understanding of physiology and her decades of helping women who previously have not been able to be helped.  Here is her bio and a link to the course she so generously is sharing with us: Dr. Dana Gibbs is an educator, hormone expert, board-certified ENT, and allergist. Dr. Gibbs attended medical school in San Antonio Texas and trained in Otolaryngology at the University of Kansas. She practiced otolaryngology in Arlington, Texas, for 23 years. Her experience of ill health during her teen years all the way to her late 30's led to profound changes in the way she practices medicine. After spending those years unrecognized, dismissed, and told "it was all in her head", she found mentors in the Integrative Medicine world that helped her find the answers and solutions to her problems. These answers now inform her practice and educational efforts. She recently retired from her ENT practice and opened Consultants in Metabolism, a direct care practice for thyroid, metabolic and hormone management for women and men. The practice is located in North Texas and offers live and virtual visits.
