The Minnesota Wild dropped another game to a Western Conference contender as they fell 3-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights Sunday at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild fell to 2-6-1 in games against Western Conference playoff teams. Kirill Kaprizov scored twice, but the Wild could not muster any other offense against Ilya Samsonov, and the Golden Knights held the Wild without a shot in the final two minutes when the Wild had a 6 on 5 and a 6 on 4. Jesper Wallstedt stopped 24 of 27 shots in emergency duty, with Filip Gustavsson banged up and unable to play. The Wild went 0-1 on the Power Play and 0-1 on the Penalty Kill. The Wild fell to 20-7-4 and now trail Winnipeg by 1 point in the Central Division standings.
