The North Carolina Tar Heels reversed course and got out to a strong start at Notre Dame on Saturday thanks to a magnificent 1st half from Ian Jackson. Elliot Cadeau rescued UNC with a 4-point play in the final 5 seconds, before the Tar Heels survived Markus Burton's game-winning attempt. Carolina was once again without Seth Trimble (who would have provided all sorts of help on Burton).
