The Cincinnati Reds secured a decisive 7-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon, snapping a three-game losing streak. Starting pitcher Nick Martinez delivered a dominant performance, allowing only two hits and striking out three over seven shutout innings . Offensively, the Reds showcased their power, with Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, and Will Benson each hitting a home run. Benson led the team with a 2-for-3 outing, driving in three RBIs, including his first homer of the season . Gavin Lux continued to excel in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive game, filling in admirably for the injured TJ Friedl.
