Listen "Purity"
Episode Synopsis
In Matthew 5:8 we read that Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Here a question to consider: Can everything you are doing in your life be ultimately explained by a single motive?
From what I gather in the use of the greek word translated “pure” in the New Testament, that is its meaning. When all we do flows from an ultimate, single intention or motive, namely, to please the Lord, then our heart is pure.
So in the light of Jesus’ beatitude, here’s a fitting prayer found in Psalm 86:11: “Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.”
