Everything going on in your life is primarily between Jesus and you.
The reason I say that is first based on the most important fact about you, that Jesus, for whom all things were created, created you for himself — to live in friendship with you as the best of friends.
That means that everything about you — your thoughts, words, attitudes, intentions, motives, reactions, choices — is intended to be anchored in that friendship and flow from it.  That is, it is intended to always express his guidance.
By contrast, nothing inside of you and nothing that happens to you is to be allowed to have any final say on anything you think, say, or do. None whatsoever. For that matter, that could serve as a good definition of sin. Sin is anything we do that does not in some sense flow out of our friendship with Jesus.
So here it is once again: Everything going on in your life is primarily between Jesus and you.

Between you and what you think about must be your friendship with Jesus and the thoughts that flow from that friendship.
Between you and what you say must be your friendship with Jesus and the words that flow from that friendship.
Between you and what you do must be your friendship with Jesus and the actions that flow from that friendship.
