Aloha this was a great 4th of July! My wifey and I went down to Dana Point to a longboard surf spot in Southern California called Doheny or Doho. It was incredible it generated waves that I haven’t seen in years since I’ve been surfing at this spot. Usually it’s a mellow cruising wave for style, but this year no way it was bigger than usual, faster, pitchier waves and my 10ft board wouldn’t be able to handle these types of waves. My wifey and I just sat on the sand just watching people surf these waves or get wipeout as well. We were sitting right by the hammer so we had a great view of the boneyard, second spot, the hammer and the jetty. All these spots were goin off. The waves were coming in 4 to 5 wave sets and even seeing waves where i never seen them break before. To the left of the jetty way down there usually no one surf there and there was waves actually breaking out there where surfers could surf.
