Listen "Line Noise Episode 73 (Murcof)"
Episode Synopsis
Murcof, aka Fernando Corona, has produced a genuinely dazzling array of music since his recorded debut in 2002, from glitchy techno to a collaboration with French classical pianist Vanessa Wagner. His latest album, The Alias Sessions, is one of his most ambitious to date, born out of a collaboration with choreographer Guilherme Botelho. Ben Cardew talks to him about Jean-Michel Jarre, Tijuana, pre‐1900 classical music and scaring the living hell out of the listener on 2008's Versailles Sessions.
