The sport of archery, bowhunting, and venturing into the wilderness has become a popular form of therapy, especially for veterans of the military and the first responder community.Focusing on the topic of archery, modern studies have validated the therapeutic benefits of the stick and string in relation to the mind and body. I personally have found great improvements in mental health, and my passion for archery hunting motivates me to achieve improved levels of physical fitness.From a 3-D archery standpoint, non-competitive courses and events have begun to pop-up all over the nation. Some attempting to simulate the rigors of mountainous and backcountry environments.
