Come to terms with your Spouse regarding money:
1.) Do a date night and write one word with a marker on an index card to say what money means to each of you.
2.) Based on each of those words, write your household goals regarding money.
Examples might be: Retire by age 60, Be Debt Free in ten years, Have a regular family vacation, etc.
3.) Establish roles for the processing of money. Who pays the bills, who keeps the files in order, etc.
4.) Establish a regular household finance meeting. Suggestion: Do it whenever you get paid. Determine when and where you want to have the meeting. Share how much you have, what needs to be paid and when, what’s leftover, and any progress you are making on your goals.
5.) Create a spending plan/budget. This step will be talked about in next week’s message.
