We are faced with a time when our fellow brothers and sisters fundamentally believe that this country is inherently evil and it would seem that neither truth nor reality can dissuade them. Furthermore, they choose to adopt a stance of zero tolerance to anyone who is skeptical and/or disagreeable to their world view. They have drawn a line in the sand and proclaimed that any person or institution that is not on their side is to be, first dehumanized and then, second eradicated. Their chosen ideology no longer allows for the possibility of compromise as their beliefs are the only righteous path there is. Meaning anyone who choses not this path, is automatically lost and deemed not worth the time to communicate and not worth the resources needed to survive. In the face of this the only rational choice is to stand apart.
