Today, we’re going to be thinking about what it means to Make Room…to Live Compassionately. There are a lot of passages we could go to where we could see compassion on display, but we’re going to go to one that speaks of the compassion we see in the coming of Jesus into our world. That makes it a Christmas passage, though it doesn’t talk about angels or shepherds. But what it DOES talk about teaches us how to Make Room…to Live Compassionately. 
Now, as we get into this, we know that living compassionately doesn’t just happen. It won’t just develop on its own. Left to ourselves, we won’t stumble into compassion. No, to live compassionately requires that we would take some intentional steps. It requires that we would make room for it to happen in our lives.
