In this episode Aaron briefly touches on the vast scope of practice for OT. Aaron discusses his own health journey and some tricks and tools that have helped him manage the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Joint Hypermobility.

Aaron, the founder of Do it with Purpose Occupational Therapy (DIWPOT), established the organisation after serving as a registered occupational therapist in the public sector in Brisbane. With a background as a community mental health occupational therapist, Aaron dedicated himself to supporting individuals with serious mental illness, advocating for their health and well-being, and assisting them in pursuing their goals.

Aaron is passionate about integrating his knowledge of mental wellness and his lived experience to empower individuals to leverage their strengths for a purposeful life. His focus lies in adult mental health, where he enjoys aiding individuals in developing independence, managing stress and emotions, establishing and maintaining structure and routine, and reconnecting with their communities. Aaron has a lived experience of mental illness having grown up around people living with mental health challenges and addiction and experiencing his own health challenges.
 
Aaron identified some key factors that helps manage symptoms of fibromyalgia and joint mobility including:
- diet
- exercise
- sleep hygiene
- pacing/ energy conservation
- nervous system regulation
- physiotherapy
- podiatry
