Listen "The Good, the Bad, and the Distracted: ADHD and the Workplace (with Aries Casteel) "

Episode Synopsis

What does it mean to be neurodivergent or neuro-atypical in library land? Today’s conversation is about what it's like to be an adult with ADHD, and how we can better support workers with this condition.
ADHD is a condition that affects 1.5 million Canadians but is still often confused or dismissed as something that only affects children. Aries Casteel, from the Dartmouth Heritage Museum recently spoke in a presentation about her own personal experiences with ADHD and made suggestions on how workplaces could make spaces and work life more inclusive to those with ADHD.
A little program note here, I was super stressed about the editing of this podcast because it was recorded while I was dog sitting for my mother-in-law and of course the dog chose this exact time to tap dance her way across my office. So you may hear some little clicks and growls throughout, I apologize, life interrupts!
