Listen "21. Deep Diving Into the Next Chapter of Your Venture and Your Life: Kirsten Blazek"
Episode Synopsis
Kirsten Blazek is the creative director behind A1000xBetter - a multifaceted design firm founded on the principle that design is a nuanced and layered process that requires you to look beyond the surface. Kirsten has an incredible eye for design, and her eclectic interiors showcase her love of vintage treasures, bohemian style, moody spaces, and penchant for the American Southwest.
In 2016, Kirsten launched A1000xBetter as a staging company based in LA. Needing to challenge herself, Kirsten has shifted her focus from staging to interior design. It was a risk to leave behind the staging business she successfully cultivated over years of hard work, but a risk worth taking to pursue life-giving work that allowed Kirsten and her team to create permanent spaces from the ground up.
In this episode, Nada sits down with Kirsten for a second time! Blazek first shared her start-up story with Nada in 2017. Today, Kirsten discusses how A1000xBetter's transition was born of personal growth as much as professional aspirations. She talks about the need to pause and reassess when you find yourself losing passion for your work.
Be sure to listen to Kirsten’s first interview with Nada: Episode 4: How Taking a Risk Allows You to Create Your Dream Job, and Kirsten's recommendation: Mark Groves for those looking for a personal growth podcast.
