Jake is from Battle Creek, IA and went to OABCIG HS. He was a 2x state qualifier, finishing 5th as a senior. Jake went to UNI, where he got his foot in the coaching door. He helped out at Waterloo West with Steve Farrell and Independence with Mike Doyle. He also did some work with the Iron Sharpens Iron camps throughout the summer. Jake is now a teacher at Bellevue East in Nebraska and is gearing up for his second season as head coach of the Chieftains.
