A favorite of Kyra and myself, but Emily has only seen this movie exactly one time. A little about You’ve Got Mail:It was written and directed by Nora Ephron. Nora Ephron is one of the women responsible for many beloved movies of my childhood. All three films I’ve seen of hers all star Meg Ryan. Hanging Up and Sleepless in Seattle, and You’ve Got Mail were on constant repeat at my house as a kid. You’ve Got Mail is based on a 1937 Hungarian play Parfumerie by Miklós László (which had earlier been adapted in 1940 as The Shop Around the Corner and in 1949 as In the Good Old Summertime),[3] it was co-written by Nora and Delia Ephron, sisters! Delia wrote the screenplay for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
