This has been a game changer for me as a mom to keep summers fun in so many ways. Vacations are guaranteed to be fun but we aren’t on vacation every day. Summer lists are a way to keep the kids on a fun, flexible program that leads to life skills learned, independence and self esteem. As well as an incentive (for us it was getting our school clothes).




Make a list of things for your child to do, learn, see, accomplish, etc



Let her add items she wants to do over the summer



Decide how many items are required to get the incentive



Getter done and have fun while learning life skills



Go get your school clothes!!!!!




Start on this TODAY. I promise you won’t be sorry you did. If you don’t have kids, make a summer list for YOU!!! I do!

That is the website for the age appropriate suggestions but remember, use your own knowledge of your child too. She may need to learn something THIS summer even though it’s on the list for next year, for example.
