Join Emily as she sits down with Dr. Tony Blasco, Functional Medicine Practitioner, Chiropractor, and founder of UB Well Center for Holistic Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Emily and Dr. Blasco explore functional medicine and root cause health, common functional labs and their usefulness, metabolic dysfunction, digestive inflammation, how stress impacts health, and changes you can make in your nutrition to feel better today.
Dr. Tony Blasco has been in the wellness space for over 30 years. He has been trained at The Kalish Institute for Functional Medicine, The Functional Medicine For Life Program, and is a member of The Institute For Functional Medicine. He began in the world of chiropractic and transitioned into the functional health space upon realizing there was a need begging to be met by his clientele that spanned beyond his current expertise. In his own journey and his family’s journey to wellness, they've tried many approaches, techniques and products. This journey with his wife and three children has taught him so much about our bodies and how they heal. Working with thousands of patients over the 30 years has taught him so much about the complexities of the body and what it is capable of doing if given the proper nutrition and time.
Emily is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a Certified Dietary Supplement Professional with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Emily is a Functional Nutrition Expert through MindBodyGreen. Emily owns and operates Whole with Emily LLC, wherein she works with clients one on one within the space of holistic wellness, to support optimal physical and mental health. She believes that true health and feeling better means examining the intersection between physical and mental health and look at one's experience through this lens. Integration of nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management and self care, gut health, mindset and more is the formula for a better quality life. Emily marries mindset with behavioral change in order to create the ultimate mind body connection and promote sustained change and a healthful balance within her work with clients.
