Listen "The balance between flexibility and structure for student learning"
Episode Synopsis
This time on the LearnSci Webcasts we're talking about flexibility versus structure, with Dr. Shane Austin from the University of the West Indies and Prof. Nicky King from the University of Exeter. Shane and Nicky join Ashleigh to explore the balance between providing structure and giving students flexibility in the classroom and lab. They share their experiences and insight into how learning changed during the pandemic, and how to navigate expectations of flexibility and structure now that lots of teaching has returned to being in-person.
LearnSci Webcasts are all about educators helping educators. Over the course of this season, we've invited university academics to share their experiences, thoughts and tips and tricks on a range of topics, from student engagement to balancing choice and structure in students' learning.
