In this episode of Learning Clan we spoke with Dr. Mutherem Dindar, A tenure-track Professor in Game-based Learning in the Faculty of Education and Culture in at the University of Tampere, Finland.
His current research is focused on the use of multimodal data (e.g., electrodermal activity, heart rate, facial expressions, and video data) for understanding social cognition and social contagion in game-based and collaborative learning environments.
We discuss what makes learning fun and why fun is a critical aspect of learning experiences. We then delve into what we have learned about learning from game-based behaviours and how we can measure these often elusive qualities and interactions in quantifiable ways.
