📒 Show Notes and Resources 📒 Leadership Lesson | Following Christ as an Example to Others by Irene Williams Irene Williams, Pastor Daniel’s mom, shares her wisdom from 40 years of leadership ministry as  the ministry partner and wife of Pastor Joe Williams. “When you say you’re a Christian and that you follow Christ, remember that someone is always watching your life.” (Hermano Pablo) We represent Jesus wherever we are and wherever we go. How do leaders represent God well? Irene shares the ways God has taught us to surrender to and follow Him in His Word. What is the difference between a worldly leader and a godly leader? “God can take any ordinary person and do extraordinary things through them.” These are beautiful truths shared by a faithful servant of the Lord.Perspective: The Life of a Pastor’s Kid (PK)Pastor Daniel shares some reflections on growing up in a pastor’s home and three things he learned from his parents as a PK. 1) Integrity: My parents were the same people at home as they were at church. 2) Prioritizing Family: My parents prioritized investing in our family. 3) Guarding/Protecting:  My parents guarded us from being exposed to parts of ministry we shouldn’t see as children. They also involved us in sharing and helping in ways that we could. As leaders, we are called to set a godly example to our family. They are a gift from God. Leadership Lesson  |  Faith and Faithfulness by Joe WilliamsPastor Joe is back! He talks about faith and faithfulness and how they go hand in hand. Faith, not in yourself or faith in your faith, but faith in the Lord. We are not in control, but the Holy Spirit is. Ministry never gets easier. After 40 years in ministry, there is still an adversary. We must resist by him by faith. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Believing God in spite of the circumstances, even when we do not see. It takes faith. Pastor Joe shares a great exhortation to stay strong, stay focused, and trust God. Be faithful to what and who God has called you. God will give you the strength you need. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
