In this Leadership Lesson, Robin shares his story of the Lord’s years-long work in his life on the subject of entitlement. First, a definition: Entitlement is “the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment” (Oxford Dictionary). What does God have to say about entitlement and how can we grow in our understanding of it in a way that is life-changing and pleasing to God? A gifted teacher on a deeply important topic. “As a leader, this call and this gift that God has put on our life, we’re called to use it as a living sacrifice as unto the Lord, a true and proper form of worship. We have to come from a place where we expect nothing in return from the Lord for what it is that He’s gifted us to be able to do for Him. What we get from it is worship.” One Piece of Advice | It’s Okay If You’re Not the Next Big Thing by Dr. Jon Elswick Dr. Jon Elswick, pastor of Crossway Church in South Florida, shares his one piece of advice. “It is okay if you and your church never become the ‘next big thing.’” He tells the story of how he learned this lesson in real life. Simply be faithful with what God has placed in your hands.
