If there was something that had a significant, adverse effect on the productivity of around 50% of your workforce, you as a leader would want to know about it.
Well, there is, and it’s called the Menopause.
It is something that affects almost all women, at its worst it can be utterly debilitating, but even in its milder form it significantly affects a woman’s ability to perform at their peak.
The modern leader needs to know their people and yet there is a silence around menopause similar to how there was with mental health up until a few years ago. It’s incredible that most men and quite a lot of women know little or nothing about it and we think it's time to have that conversation and explode that taboo.
We discuss what it is, the effects it can have, why people don’t talk about it, and what can be done to support people going through it and alleviate its effect.
