Chris Lowney is the Board Chair of CommonSpirit Health, the largest nonprofit healthcare system in the U.S., with an annual revenue of $34 billion. A former Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, he held leadership roles across New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and London until 2001. Lowney is a respected speaker on leadership, ethics, and decision-making, having presented in over 20 countries.
He is the author of six books and co-author of two more. The bestselling "Heroic Leadership" has been translated into eleven languages, and was named to the recommended reading list of the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Lowney is known for his philanthropic efforts, founding initiatives that support education and healthcare projects in underserved regions. He also pioneered leadership development programs and online education for refugees. He holds a summa cum laude degree and an M.A. from Fordham University and has received nine honorary doctorates.
