In continuation with our “Remember Secure Sons” Series, Elder Eric, Pastor Matthew, and Pastor Wade walk us through the second step of the Remember progression in the book of Deuteronomy with “Remember: Secure Sons Step Two“. In this second step, we are instructed to remember that we were slaves in Egypt and it was the Lord who brought us out. This sober reflection of remembrance illustrates the reality of our status and state when we first encountered the Lord; completely powerless. Nothing we could do would bring about a change to our ways, not self-determination, self-discipline, or endless striving…until the Lord recused and set us free! “Praise be to God!” is the reaction of gratitude and thanksgiving we ought to have after being set free and as sons and daughters of our Father, we are now freed to live this new life! As you listen to this sermon, be encouraged and have confidence that He who began a good work in you will see it through to completion!
