Hello, Friends The Holy Scriptures contain 261 direct references to God as our Father. However, when you look carefully at the context of each Scripture, it is obvious that a monumental change in man's relationship to God occurred in the ministry of Yeshua (Jesus). The Tenach (39 books of the Older Testament) only refers to God as "Father" 9 times. Of those nine occurrences, 7 are spoken of as a future event and the remaining 2 are in the generic sense of "Father" as in "Creator". When comparing this with the 27 books of the Newer Testament, it is dramatic! 252 times the Newer Testament uses the term Father in a personal sense of relationship. While websites offer us meaningful relationships based on 29 dimensions of compatibility, only in Yeshua the Messiah, do we find our full relationship with God as our Father! The LCMF Staff
